CMCPS Early Childhood Center
Zero - Five Program
History
CMCPS has provided early childhood education for eighteen years. During this time, 98% of all students entering our preschool and attending through the eighth grade are now in highly selective high schools, in college, or have graduated from college. Our preschool program has become a feeder program for schools that offer financial scholarships based on academic ability.
Philosophy
The school embodies the belief that children at an early age have the capacity to develop a vast understanding of language that promotes reading readiness. Our loving, nurturing and articulate professionals provide an enriching environment that fosters skills for academic excellence, character development, and future leadership.
Curriculum
The zero-five Program provides a strong curriculum of academic, social, and moral activities that prepare each child for school readiness and success. The MirMe curriculum, which includes appropriate activities in reading readiness, mathematics, science, social studies, English, and foreign languages, engages students in hands-on and interactive learning. The curriculum encourages the instruction of core values.
